Thanks for Supporting Fruition IT’s ‘Elf on the Shelf’ Christmas Toy Appeal with Leeds Children’s Hospital and Leeds Baby Bank
On 1st December we launched our annual ‘Elf on the Shelf’ Christmas Toy appeal, this year raising cash to buy toys and essentials for both Leeds Children’s hospital and Leeds Baby Bank. The appeal involved a member of the Fruition team dressing up each day as a life sized elf, adopting silly poses in the style of the ‘Elf on the Shelf’ phenomenon we all know and love.
Leeds Children’s Hospital provides services including cancer treatment, transplantation and congenital heart surgery to the children of Leeds, across the Yorkshire and Humber region, and from further afield. Unfortunately, each year, lots of children spend the festive period unwell in hospital. Our aim was to donate Christmas presents to bring a smile to children’s faces on Christmas day.
Leeds Baby Bank’s mission is to provide baby essentials to families who are in urgent need of necessities including nappies, clothes, infant formula and even prams and cots, because no baby should go without. Our aim was to buy baby essentials and Christmas presents to be sent out to families with babies and young children, struggling during the Christmas period.
Our target was to raise £1500 to spend on Christmas presents & baby essentials for both charities. With lots of support from our wonderful clients, suppliers, friends and family, we managed to smash our target and raised a huge £1772, plus £100 Amazon vouchers and lots of toys and baby essentials. The cash donations allowed us to buy stacks and stacks of toys, gifts, prams and cots.
We’d like to say a big thank you to everyone that donated money and gifts, we couldn’t have done it without your support! We’re so pleased to have been able to help make the festive period brighter for families in need this Christmas.
Thanks again and Merry Christmas!
