This month Leeds Hackspace are doing a ‘Free open to everyone evening’. Which means whether you are an artist, maker, hobbyist or tinkerer, you can go along and talk to like minded people and members.

5th December – The JVM Thing – Aireside House
The JVM thing is a tech networking group for the JVM language community, bringing together software enthusiasts to show, tell, share knowledge and discuss key topics related to the JVM ecosystem.
Their first talk this month will be focusing on ‘Ten Things to do with GraalVM’ and will be presented by Chris Seaton, Research Manager at Oracle Labs.
There will also be a series of lightning talks covering topics like; Spring Cloud Stream, Going Serverless with JVM as well as Legacy Systems.

6th December – Leeds Devops – ODI Leeds Node
Leeds Devops is a hub for everyone who lives, breathes and occasionally sleeps Devops in Leeds and the surrounding area.
This month they will be discussing DevTest Microsoft Stack Environments, and their guest speakers include Sam Williams and Nicolas Corrarello of Hashicorp.

12th December – Agile Yorkshire – Lightning talks
Every year Agile Yorkshire host an open session of submission for their lightning talks. You can submit your proposal up until the 9th December via the link below and also register to attend.
It’s an interactive session with prizes to be won for the best talk as voted for by the audience!

19th December – Digital Transformation – Should You?
Anyone with an interest in digital transformation, what it is, how it affects different organisations. People who want to share their experiences of digital transformation, or talk about their organisations stage of the journey. Also, people who are willing to give advice and practical steps to others for free in a workshop, or panel type event.
20th December – Drupal Yorkshire – Platform
Drupal Yorkshire supports an open group of digital managers, designers, developers and product owners.
